«ALTEL» JSC is the first national mobile operator in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 1994 «ALTEL» JSC has provided telecommunication services to its Subscribers in the main towns of Kazakhstan in analogous format AMPS/NAMPS.

In December 2003, the third generation technology - CDMA 2000-1X - was implemented for commercial use, which provides mobile telephony and wirefree access to the Internet.

CDMA standard is leading at wirefree connection market in the Northern America and South-Eastern Asia. For 5 years already Kazakhstan has been among the countries that allow you to use third generation mobile telephony services.

Today, «ALTEL» JSC is the first and only Kazakhstan operator of mobile telephony standard CDMA 2000-1X

Currently, «ALTEL» presents three brands at the market:

Dalacom - (launched on December 10, 2003), this communication is for people who appreciate quality and comfort. Dalacom services are provided on postpaid basis. This allows Subscribers to use communication services on credit and to pay them during the payment period. Monthly, mobile telephony operator drafts a bill for the Subscriber in accordance with the effective rates.

PAThWORD - (launched on February 13, 2004 ), this communication is for business people who lead active and full life. Services are provided on prepaid basis. This allows Subscriber to use mobile telephony services only after crediting funds to the Operator’s account sufficient to pay mobile telephony services.

City - is a new project that was introduced to Kazakhstani market in December 2006; it provides its Subscriber with a direct landline number on their mobile phone. City subscribers can make calls to Dalacom/PAThWORD number, other mobile operators’ number, as well as landline number. Moreover, calls to landline from City number and calls from landline to City number are free! This service is attractive because while remaining a mobile phone, subscriber can save on landline calls. Services are provided on prepaid basis. This allows Subscriber to use mobile telephony services only after crediting funds to the Operator’s account sufficient to pay mobile telephony services.

JET - is a new product introduced to Kazakhstani market in March 2010; it provides the service of broad-band mobile access to the Internet based on the 3G technology CDMA2000 1X EV-DO rev.A, which opens up new opportunities for people who live and work at high speed, have high demands to the communication infrastructure and appreciate the advantages of mobility.
